Laurel…

“Hey ma. What’s up?” Laurel said lying back on the pillow.

“Your dad wants you all to come visit him today.” Liz said straight to the point.

“I’ll pass. Are you going to work today?” Laurel said changing the subject.

“No I’m off today and we are going to see him. So get your ass home.”

“Ma why do we have to drive 3 hours away to see a man who don’t mean shit to us.” She said not meaning to curse at her mother.

“Because he is your damn father. Now you and your sister need to get home.
